Anna Bach Faig's R&I work is in the field of food and public health, and food and physical activity as part of the FoodLab group. She graduated in Pharmacy, and holds a master's degree and a PhD in Public Health Nutrition.

She has been involved in mostly multidisciplinary food and health promotion and research projects in Spain and within the framework of European Union projects. She is an associate professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the UOC, and teaches on the official master's degrees in Nutrition and Health, and Food for Physical Exercise and Sport. She is currently the director of the former.

She has an h-index of 16 for the 30 some articles she has published in international journals indexed in Q1 and Q2, which in 2021 had around 2,790 citations in GSC linked to the trinomial of food, health and sustainability. She is the author of a total of 13 books and book chapters, of which five are indexed in SPI.

She has been the director of the Mediterranean Diet Foundation Research Group at the Institute for Catalan Studies' Catalan Nutrition Centre (CCNIEC) and is currently a researcher in the UOC Faculty of Health Sciences' FoodLab research group (2021 SGR 01357), recognized as 'consolidated' by the Catalan University and Research Grant Management Agency (AGAUR)).

She has been accredited as an associate professor (UOC, 2020) and as a tenure-track lecturer by the AQU (2017). Her two researchs period (the 2006-2011 and 2016-2021, six-year period) were recognized by the AQU (2018, 2022).
