Supervised by Dr. Miquel Salvador Serna, Dr. Alfons Medina Cambrón.

The research carried out by Judith Clares focuses on studying and analysing the communication structure and policies linked to the audiovisual field (television and film) and, particularly, with the changes that new technologies, with the incorporation of on-request or on-demand audiovisual services, imply: both a rethinking of regulatory and promotional measures and the appearance of new audiovisual-related business models. The appearance of new players from a range of sectors, such as telecommunications and consumer informatics, also calls for an analysis of the convergence of the content and technology sectors in the audiovisual field. The study of changes in policies and in industrial structures also implies an analysis of the consumer and of the new forms of consumption, as well as of new mobile devices and the measuring of the audience via these new windows.
