The research activities of Montse Vall-llovera focus on the study of the practices of the use, appropriation and consumption of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) by young people. They are interested in the overall combination of meanings that the young collectively build in these practices and their relationship with the building of their identity. At the same time, they place special emphasis on analysing and discussing the methodologies employed in study of and research into new virtual and presential spaces for relationships provided by ICT, and the use made of them. She is a founder member of the JovenTIC (YoungICT) inter-university (URV-UAB-UOC) research group headed by Dr Adriana Gil Juárez (URV).
